When all the files have been extracted, we need to modify the httpd.conf file that was installed by Apache. Go to the directory APACHE_HOME/conf and open the file. Perl allows real numbers to be written in one of two forms, fixed point and scientific. In the fixedpoint representation, the decimal point is fixed in place, with a constant and unchanging number of available fractional digits. Prices are a common example of real-life fixed-point numbers. In the scientific representation, the number value is called the mantissa, and it is combined with an exponent representing a power of 10 that the mantissa is multiplied by.
